A Lesson from Peter Pan

AdrianCompanyVintage
LOVE THIS piece about mother's. It just makes me melt.

Mrs. Darling first heard of Peter when she was tidying up her children's minds. It is the nightly custom of every good mother after her children are asleep to rummage in their minds and put things straight for the next morning, repacking into their proper places the many articles that have wandered during the day. If you could keep awake (but of course you can't) you would see your own mother doing this and you would find it very interesting to watch her. It is quite like tidying up drawers. You would see her on her knees, I expect, lingering humorously over some of your contents, wondering where on earth you had picked this thing up, making discoveries sweet and not so sweet, pressing this to her cheek as if it were as nice as a kitten, and hurriedly stowing that out of sight. When you are awake in the morning, the naughtiness and evil passions with which you went to bed have been folded up small and placed at the bottom of your mind, and on the top, beautifully aired, are spread out your prettier thoughts, ready for you to put on.

Hairstyles iheart.

Here is a list of gorgeous hairstyles I simply drool over!

This first one is one I have actually had. I had the same hairstyle for my baby shower with my first daughter! It's sooo simple to wear and keep maintained.

I LOVE the look of a long fishtail. Too bad I have no idea how to do one lol.

Oh Jeannie Mai! I am seriously thinking of doing this to my hair. I love how she adds to the "Blue-Black" look by actually adding blue in it. Super smart. I love my hair black, but sometimes feel it can be a little blah-this could really change that.

Norma's Blaque

This is a style I have been eye-balling for a while. Seriously thinking about this.

Everything! About You

Molly Sim's waves are absolutely perfect. Need I say more?

Nope, this has nothing to do with Twilight lol. I really just love her hair color.

Ice Cream Bowls!

I am really going to try this out! This would be great for a kids party or even a cookout with friends. I don't have this exact pan, but I would bet that a cupcake pan would work just as well! The options are really endless with this one!!
Sugar Cookie Bowls

Ingredients:

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon No Color Almond Extract

Makes:

12 bowls.

Tools:

  • Ice Cream Cookie Bowl Pan

Instructions:

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray the outside of each bowl cavity of Ice Cream Cookie Bowl Pan with vegetable pan spray.

Step 2

In medium bowl, combine flour and salt. In large bowl, beat butter and sugar with electric mixer until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and extracts. Add flour mixture to butter mixture, 1 cup at a time, mixing after each addition.

Step 3

Roll out dough on generously-floured surface to 1/8 in. thickness. Cut 4-1/2 in. circles from dough.. Drape one circle over each bowl cavity of pan, pressing to form smooth surface.

Step 4

Bake 11-13 minutes or until cookie cups are firm and golden brown. Cool on pan on cooling rack 10 minutes. Loosen bottom edges of cookies from pan using small spatula. Carefully remove cups from pan and cool completely. Wash, dry and spray pan; repeat with remaining dough.
